Since 2009 Cinemapolis has run five screens on East Green Street under the nonprofit Seventh Art Corporation. It began as a one-screen theater in the basement of Center Ithaca on the Commons, opened by Lynne Cohen and Richard Szanyi with Kurosawa's Ran, and shows independent, foreign and locally made films.
