What to send
Exterior marquees, historic facades, lobby details, auditoriums, signage, and official venue images are the most useful.
Photo submissions
Strong theater photos improve every listing: they help filmgoers recognize the marquee, understand the venue, and find the places keeping repertory and independent cinema alive.
Exterior marquees, historic facades, lobby details, auditoriums, signage, and official venue images are the most useful.
Add the theater name, city, state, photo credit, approximate date, and any caption that helps identify the venue.
Only send photos you own or are authorized to share. We do not use scraped images or unlicensed map photos.
Owner-ready packet
This does not publish anything automatically. It records the rights language, credit, venue context, and review checklist we need before replacing a generated fallback image.
The email includes a theater name, city/state, submitter contact, image link or attachment, and the rights statement.
We confirm the sender owns the image or is authorized to share it, and that attribution is publishable.
The photo is matched to the correct listing and rejected if it is a logo, poster, map, or unrelated event image.
The approved photo replaces a generated fallback only after source, credit, and permission are documented.
Please include this sentence when submitting photos:
I own this photo or am authorized to submit it, and I grant Art House Theaters permission to display it on arthousetheaters.com with the provided attribution.
Attach images directly or send a cloud folder link with download access enabled.
